Admission Requirements

To gain admission into UPSA, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants:
  • Must have credits in English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and three elective subjects relevant to the programme of study.
  • Must have a minimum grade of C6 in English Language and Mathematics.
  1. Mature Applicants:
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Must pass the Mature Students’ Entrance Examination conducted by the university.
  • Must have at least two years of relevant work experience.
  1. HND Applicants:
  • Must have a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in a relevant programme from a recognized institution.
  • Must have completed their National Service.
  1. Bachelor of Science Applicants:
  • Must have a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in a relevant programme from a recognized institution.
  • Must have completed their National Service.
  1. LLB Applicants:
  • Must have a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in a relevant programme from a recognized institution.
  • Must have completed their National Service.

School Fees

The school fees for UPSA vary depending on the programme of study. However, the fees are affordable compared to other universities in Ghana. Students are required to pay tuition fees, registration fees, examination fees, student ID card fees, medical examination fees, medical insurance fees, and other miscellaneous fees. The accommodation fees for students who opt to live on campus are also reasonable.
